چکیده

Lobesia botrana Denis & Schiff. (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), also known as the European grapevine moth is a detrimental pest in grape production Palearctic Region. Insecticides are used to control L. infestation grape-produced areas; however, repeated and intensive use of insecticide causes reduced efficacy management. In present study, five commonly insecticides (chlorpyrifos-ethyl, emamectin benzoate, indoxacarb, lambda-cyhalothrin, spinosad) was evaluated two field populations (AL SAR) from Manisa, Turkey. addition, detoxification enzyme activities including esterase (EST) glutathion-S-transferase (GST) were measured via vitro assays. LC50 values found lower for chlorpyrifos-ethyl, spinosad higher indoxacarb lambda-cyhalotrin AL compared SAR population. EST levels slightly population SAR. GST However, no statistical difference both than populations. Findings current study would help growers well applicator strategize their integrated management programs possibly mitigate any resistance development.

Different emergence phenology of European grapevine moth (Lobesia botrana, Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) on six varieties of grapes.

The phenology of insect emergence affects reproductive success and is especially critical in short-lived species. An increasing number of studies have documented the effects of thermal and other climatic variations and of unpredictable habitats on the timing of adult insect emergence within and between populations and years. Numerous interacting factors may affect the phenology of adult emergen...

Sterile Insect Technique and F1 Sterility in the European Grapevine Moth, Lobesia botrana

Newly emerged adults of the European grapevine moth, Lobesia botrana (Denis and Schiffermuller) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), were irradiated with various doses of gamma radiation and crossed to unirradiated counterparts of the opposite sex. Fecundity was decreased when unirradiated females were mated with either 300-or 350-Gy-irradiated males. Adult males that were irradiated with 400 Gy and mat...

Larval intraspecific competition for food in the European grapevine moth Lobesia botrana.

Effective pest management with lower amounts of pesticides relies on accurate prediction of insect pest growth rates. Knowledge of the factors governing this trait and the resulting fitness of individuals is thus necessary to refine predictions and make suitable decisions in crop protection. The European grapevine moth, Lobesia botrana, the major pest of grapes in Europe, is responsible for hug...

larval parasitoids of lobesia botrana (denis and schiffermüller, 1775) (lepidoptera: tortricidae) in orumieh vineyards

grape berry moth, lobesia botrana (denis and schiff.) is a destructive pest of grapevine in orumieh (northwest, iran) vineyards. it is mainly controled through application of broad-spectrum insecticides, which can adversely affect vineyard ecosystem and consequently human health. since a first step in setting up an ipm program is to assess the biological control agents within the ecosystem, so ...
